SMALL SPACE DECOR: books that double as decor

Designing small spaces requires a lot of intention, meaning every item used must serve a purpose or multiple ones at that. One item in a child's room that we feel has the ability to do this well, are books. Chosen with intention, books have the ability to dress up a wall while serve the purpose to entertain, relax and teach.

One project we were excited to try this in was our closet-turned-nursery project. Consisting of only 50 sq ft, we knew every item placed on the walls needed to be functional as well as intentional.

Choosing books that coordinated to the color and hues of the wallpaper (& special items in the room like our sweet slumberkins sloth that also happens to come with a beautifully illustrated board book) not only created a sense of flow within different areas of the space but it finished the space in a way we didn't anticipate.
