A Simple way to upgrade your entryway

Well, it's officially been a bit over a year since we started updating our home to make it more functional for us and little by little it's getting there! We finished the boys' room and added play items to make the idea of sharing fun. We renovated the living and dining area with the focus of hosting lots and lots of people. We transformed our master closet into a Nursery Closet for our brand new baby girl! and added a home studio / office so both Ray and I could work within the comfort of our home.

It was a busy year of renovations and work but also an intentional year of creating spaces more fit for our family.

We are slowly making our small home a space that fits our current and growing needs and this month we are excited to team up with Delaney Hardware and move from the inside to the outside of our home!

Ok, so let's talk outside... The outside of our home has been something we've been wanting to tackle for a while. Even though we've always adored the shape and style of the exterior of our home, we've also always wanted to make it our own (especially since some aspects of it were already falling apart!) We've wanted to paint, switch out trim, add a light to the entryway, change out landscaping, list goes on!

Since tackling all projects at once can be overwhelming, (especially during the holidays) we decided to start small and give our front entryway a simple yet impactful upgrade by swapping out our handles!

Why handles? because upgrading the handle of your door is a simple way to give your entryway an instant boost and only takes about 15 minutes of your time.

We went with a Delaney knob-less handle called the Capri Handle Set and loved the clean, modern design this style of handle had. We decided to try both their Polished Chrome and Oil Rubbed Bronze finish

& see how they both looked against our black door.

What we loved about the polished chrome was the immediate contrast it created

and how modern it made our home feel.

Add a simple wreath, greenery and a couple of bells and we had an entryway

ready for the holidays (no renovation or crazy projects required!)

What we loved about the Oil rubbed bronze handle was simple elegance it added to our front door and the way it complemented the overall exterior and style of our home.

We decided with the oil bronze finish and could not have been happier with the results!

Talk about a difference, right??

Best part about the whole thing? it only took 15 minutes to remove old ones for new ones proving you don't have to do it all and spend it all to make a difference in the way your home looks! woo-hooooo!
